Happiness and Butterflies Greeting Card

Hey Peeps! Ginny here to share a card that I created with sooo many layers. All the fabulous supplies were just calling to me.
I've gone just a bit mixed media and a whole lot vintage with this all occasion greeting card.

There's 2 colors of gorgeous Burlap Sting tucked into the flowers.
Stitching adds a nice texture and a subtle detail.
So.Many.Layers. An altered chipboard element to dress up the focal image.
Believe it or not...all of these yummy pieces were just regular stash waiting to find a nice home.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies~ Burlap String in Black and Antique GoldScor-Tape, Tombow 3D foam Squares.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Nostalgic Carnival Card - Remember

Hello, friends of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by to visit us.  It's Karen posting today to share a sweet little card I made using some rather nostalgic patterned papers and ephemera, and lots of great ribbons as well.  I hope my card will inspire you to decorate and adorn your next card with LOTS of great RIBBONS.  I love this retro look, and Really Reasonable Ribbon has the perfect trims for this, ANY style of project.  I just love how I can always find the perfect trims for each project I create, and YOU can too!
At the top left of this card, you will see a piece of ephemera and a snippet of 3/4" Red Chevron Stripe Twill.  Then, down at the bottom left part of my card you will see pieces of Plaid Turquoise Ribbon, 3/8" Yellow Gingham Ribbon, and Red and White Plaid Houndstooth Ribbon.  I just love how all these different ribbons work together so nicely and compliment one another.  The ribbons really brought my card to life and gave it texture, depth and personality.  Oh, and I don't want to forget to tell you all that I use LOTS of Scor-Tape to hold my cards together.  It's a fabulous, long-lasting adhesive.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store to check out the ribbons I used (all listed and linked above)....just click on the link for the ribbons you like, and you can easily add them to your cart.   AND -  there's also a fabulous challenge taking place right now, come play along in our Current Challenge   And finally, there's always lots of great inspiration right here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  We're so glad you stopped by, and we hope that you will stop by to visit again tomorrow......and every day!
Have a blessed day,

Crinkled Seam Binding

{judy} Hey friends! Today I want to share a simple watercolored card. You can't go wrong with a watercolor background and a beautiful sentiment. Add in some gorgeous seam binding and it's a done deal!

My background was made using Kuretake paints on water color paper. I added a couple of color layers inbetween dry times, and then stamped my sentiment (The Stamps of Life) with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
To crinkle up my seam binding, I spritz it with water and then ball it up in my hand and place the ball into the corner of a plastic bag. Twist the plastic bag tightly around the ball. Leave the seam binding ball in the bag overnight. The next morning, remove the seam binding from the bag and fluff the ball out. Let it dry thoroughly. Pretty easy!

This is the beautiful Bay Leaf Seam Binding tied in a double bow at an angle across the card for interest. I added a Resin Flower on top of the knots. I also tucked in a half-doily (Stampin' Up!) under the bows. My layers are held together with 1/2" Scor-Tape on this card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Dad, You Rock! Masculine Greeting Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I hope you are all having a very happy Father's Day!  To honor the men in our lives, I've worked up a fun masculine card using Copen Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from the Ocean Breeze Ribbon Assortment.   I've also added some fun embellies from RRR.  Let's take a look!

It can be hard to design a masculine card, but these papers from Authentique's "Durable" collection strike exactly the right note.  This top fold card measures 5" x 7", so there's lots of room to add great embellies.

Delicate Stitched Satin is one of my all time favorite ribbon choices.  This time around I used the new Copen Blue ribbon from the  Ocean Breeze June Ribbon Club Assortment.  It's the perfect shade of blue to liven up all the lovely grey tones in this card.

Metal Steampunk Gears make the perfect embellishment, adding a little shine, a lot of texture and a fun masculine vibe to the card design.  To even out the composition I also added a trio of flat backed cabochons in the upper left hand corner of the card.

The interior of the card contains two pockets filled with goodies for Dad.

The small upper pocket contains a cute tag that Dad can use as a bookmark.

You could mount a small photo of your children, or write a personal note here to make it really special.

The lower pocket contains a simple folio.

This was made by cutting a 5" x 12" strip of designer paper from the collection.  Then I scored on the long side at 4", 8", and 12" to form a little folio.

I added thumb holes with a circle punch, then minimally decorated the pages, leaving lots of room for 4" x 5" photos of Dad.  Tuck in a gift card, and you're ready for Father's Day or a masculine birthday.

I'm thankful to have been raised by a kind an loving father.  I'm even more blessed to have married a man who is devoted, loving and kind to our 5 children...and now our grandchildren.  I pray you all enjoy a peaceful, happy and restful Father's Day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Always And Forever Side-Step Card

Hi friends and happy Saturday! How are you enjoying June so far? I'm sure loving it and I'm looking forward to warmer weather here in the Pacific NW over the next few months. Today I have a fun and unique style card called the "side-step" card. Take a look!
I haven't made one of these side-step cards in years and I was a bit rusty. But with the SplitcoastStamper's Side-Step Card Tutorial, it was easy and as pie! I added 2 strips of the Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain in Moonstone across the top main panel and a little bow over the mason jar. This ribbon is part of the June Ribbon Club Assortment and it can also be purchased alone.  Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting!
